International
The Canadian Bull Congress has taken a huge marketing step by undertaking and participating in international trade missions. The CBC is proud to be able to have the opportunity to do so and represent the industry throughout different countries. We have participated and visited the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh, Scotland, Tullamore Show in Ireland,
and World Angus Forum in Spruce Meadows. We have participated in
outbound missions to England, Scotland, Ireland, and the United States
- toured farms, markets, cooperatives, parliament, processing plants and had the opportunity to visit and promote the Alberta/Canadian cattle industry directly to
our counterparts in these countries.
We welcome these opportunities to promote our industry and will continue
to promote internationally. Contacts have been made in various countries such as
England, Scotland, Ireland, France, New Zealand, Germany, Brazil, Argentina,
and many of the US states.
We were pleased to host inbound missions in 2008, 09, and 10 consisting of producers and key stakeholders from Ireland and Denmark. They were toured around the province and attend the Canadian Bull Congress. As a result, a renewed and strengthened interest has been made in Alberta/Canadian cattle
and this has resulted in the purchase of Alberta/Canadian genetics. The goal of the Canadian Bull Congress is continued participation in both inbound and outbound
internationally marketing opportunities.
If you are interested in taking part in one of our outbound missions, please contact our
office for further information on destinations that we will be attending. One area of
interest to producers would be a complete farm and agri industry related tour of Ireland.
This tour would give you a first hand look at the agriculture industry and a chance to meet and promote to key stake holders in Ireland.
The Canadian Bull Congress is an affiliate member of the Canadian Beef Breeds Council and has supported various programs and conferences undertaken through
CBBC such as “Beef Beyond On Borders”. The Canadian Bull Congress thanks the Canadian Beef Breeds Council and Agriculture Canada for their support of our trade missions.
Our promise to our producers:
To promote the Alberta/Canadian cattle industry wherever and whenever possible and to continue promotion in various international markets. Our year round marketing and promotion is "Your Opportunity To Profit".
